Headquartered in Sri Lanka, we’re a non-profit research organisation that works with national and international partners in Africa and Asia to improve water and land management in developing countries.

Our work helps people to produce more food and improve their livelihoods while
safeguarding the environment.

2005 was a very successful year for IWMI, and we’d like to share some of our major
achievements with you here. As always, we’ve worked to address a diverse range of
important issues, from fish farming and flood control to irrigation and health.

Diversity and quality are the hallmarks of our work and our staff - as you’ll see inside.
